We Olive Store and Wine Bar is a fun, friendly, family affair. It is run by a Stephanie and her sons, Josh and Nate.  We Olive at Trolley Square as been in business since 2016. The store features California Extra Virgin Olive Oils. We Olive offers an extensive line of retail products as well as in house dining options. 

We Olive prides themselves on educating the inexperienced guest. The Staff will walk you through an olive oil tasting to find the perfect olive oil, and likely also vinegar to accommodate any need. They specialize in Arbequina, Koroneiki, Mission, and Tuscan Olive Oils. You can sample any of the items in the store so you know that you love it. 

 

 

With the holiday season just around the corner, We Olive is a great place to purchase gifts. There are a variety of pre-made gift baskets or the Staff would be more than happy to help personalize a gift. They can even create custom labels for you.  

 

 

 

 

In the back of the store is the Wine Bar. The food is simple but created to highlight the olive oil and balsamic. We loved the  Prosciutto-wrapped Dates  with goat cheese, walnuts, Blood Orange Balsamic, and  Meyer Lemon Olive Oil. The Fromage Flatbread, a blend of artisan cheeses, fresh basil, and Garlic Olive Oil was also a treat. Wine is served by taste, glass, and bottle. Local breweries featured included Mountain West Cider, Proper, and Talisman. They also have a Happy Hour with food specials Monday - Friday from 3:30-6:30.

Tabula Rasa in Trolley Square

One of our favorite shops in Trolley Square is Tabula Rasa. Known for their beautiful papers and stationery, Tablua Rasa is a shop you must shop this holiday.

Tabula Rasa carries a large selection of fine writing instruments and of course everything one would need for the fine art of calligraphy. Hand bound journals, notebooks, cards and stationery line the shelves at Tabula Rasa.

Finding the perfect gift is never hard at Tabula Rasa! They also carry leather accessories, jewelry, fragrances and toiletries from around the world. They even have a great selection of gifts for children.

Holiday Shopping at Trolley Square

Holiday shopping is in full swing at Trolley Square Mall! This week I had the chance to get some Christmas shopping done and eat a good meal at The Old Spaghetti Factory. All the decorated trees, lights and Christmas decorations definitely got me in the Christmas spirit.

Trolley Square has some unique stores that you won't find at other malls. Some of our favorites are Tabula Rasa, Williams Sonoma, Weller Book Works, Pottery Barn Kids, Pottery Barn, SPARK, American Apparel, Alice Lane and many more.

We love all the lights and decorations at Trolley and of course we think their Santa station is pretty cool too! We love that you can get in the sleigh and take pictures of your little ones even if Santa isn't there.

I hope you get a chance to stop by Trolley Square this holiday season to eat, shop, play or visit Santa.

See's Candy in Sugarhouse

'Tis the season for all the best things--like gift giving, chocolate . . . and, well those are about the best things that I know of! See's Chocolate is pretty much a holiday tradition, so it's perfect timing that a new shop has opened nearby for us Salt Lake locals in Sugarhouse. You can find this "Quantity Discount" store (which means that this location supplies the candy for fundraisers and bulk business orders, etc) at 2107 S and 700 E. Come down and check it out!

A few things you might not already know about See's Candy:

-You can build your own box. Meaning that you can choose each and every chocolate that goes in the box you buy, so you can be sure every one is a favorite. 

-See's Candy is gluten free

-They are the only company that ages their chocolate. I don't know what that means exactly, but when it comes to wine and cheese that's supposed to be the best, right??

-They use no added preservatives.

-You get a free piece of chocolate every time you visit!

Artistic Lighting Studio in Salt Lake City is closing its doors for business on July 31st.

It all began when local entrepreneur, Bob Tschaggeny, started making 
and selling his handcrafted light fixtures from the trees in his front yard. 

Now 81 year later, it's time for the company to say goodbye. And that means great

Schmidt's Farm and Greenhouse

Are you loving the spring weather, or what?! Nothing gets me excited like seeing spring blooms, and pretty blossoms on the trees. It's a wonderful season. If you are looking to beautify your flower beds, or plant some things for a fall harvest, you MUST check out Schmidt's Farm and Greenhouse in West Jordan. This greenhouse is brand new and beautiful. This is only their second spring open, and it is such a fun place.

Although the greenhouse is new, this is a family-run business, and has been since 1910! I love picking out flowers, but I love it even more at Schmidt's because it is such a fun experience. One of the best things they have going on are FREE gardening classes. These classes are taught by certified Master Gardeners, and cover topics like raised bed gardening, container gardening, raising vegetables, and more. The NPS Store is a salvage and freight recovery company in Salt Lake.  With two stores, you'll find just about anything you could ever want or need-even if you didn't previously know it existed.  One store is a retail destination consisting of a grocery/clothing department and an everything from house and plumbing supplies to automotive and sporting goods department. The other store is run online through Amazon.com and auction-style via Ebay.  In fact, NPS is one of the largest sellers of treasures on Ebay.
