Red Button Vintage Creamery

With the weather getting warmer we can't help but want ice cream and we are loving the locally made ice cream from Red Button Vintage Creamery. We love the unique flavors from Red Button that we haven't found anywhere else.

Some of our favorite flavors in no particular order.

Black Licorice. If you like black licorice then you will love this ice cream!

Sprinkled Animal Cookie. The perfect way to bring out the kid in yourself with this tasty treat.

Cinnamon Chocolate Chip. This flavor was originally a limited edition flavor but after so many requests Red Button added it to their everyday flavors.

Lime Rickey Sherbet. The perfect mix of sweet and tart, just like the yummy drink.


Red Button has many more flavors most of which are unique that you won't find anywhere else. You can pick up some ice cream for yourself at a locally owned member of Associated Foods. List of stores found here.

Treats and Trends Catering and Cookies

We recently stopped by The Store in Holladay to try out the Treats and Trends cookies we have been hearing about. Let me tell you, they did not disappoint! There are so many different flavors to choose from, including some unique cookie flavors that you won't find at other bakeries.

We love the classic Vanilla, Dr. Pepper, Lemon and Cotton Candy!
Other flavors we can't wait to try are the Neapolitan, Avocado Cream Cheese, Pistachio, Dirty Diet Coke, Cookie Dough Frosting, Pina Colada, and so many more!

You can find Treats and Trends cookies in both of The Store shops, Jolley's , Pop Shop and of course through custom orders.

One thing you may not know about Treats and Trends is they also do catering. That's right, you can have Treats and Trends cater your private event! They are a full service catering company that will customize a menu to fit your needs. Call for more information.

The Patisserie

Recently we were able to taste the deliciousness that is The Patisserie. Owner Janessa's love for baking shows in each of her tasty desserts.

The Patisserie offers pies, tarts, macarons, cookies and cakes to order.
The sugar cookies would be perfect for a party, shower, BBQ, gift or just to enjoy. The frosting has a hint of almond, it's delicious!

The Patisserie cakes are so good, we tried 5 different mini cakes and we loved them all!

We tried the chocolate mousse, almond, spice with cream cheese frosting, coconut and lemon cream.
They were all amazing! We loved the how moist the spice cake was, the fluffy and light consistency of the lemon cream, the flavor of the almond, coconut and the chocolate mousse. We would order every single one of them again.

Janessa is so easy to work with and her cakes not only taste great but they are beautiful too. Call The Patisserie for your next event, you will be happy you did.

JulieAnn Caramels

We want to tell you about JulieAnn Caramels, a local candy company that specializes in caramel.

JulieAnn Caramels are made with fresh cream, real butter and all-natural wholesome ingredients. Every batch is hand stirred to ensure the highest quality and flavor.

We love the original caramel flavor but also enjoyed some of the new flavor combinations. Some of our favorites include cinnamon, vanilla, lemon, chocolate, maple and cashew. There are so many different flavors that we have yet to try like caramel apple, raspberry, pumpkin, peppermint and more.

The Fix: Speciality Drinks and Homemade Sugar Cookies

Have you heard about The Fix in Draper? They serve up some of the best specialty fountain drinks around. They use syrups and delicious purees to create tasty beverages.

The Fix has a full menu of specialty drinks that you have got to try! 

Some of our favorites include  

Princess Peach (Lemonade + Peach, Pineapple, Pomegranate, Fresh Limes) 

Voltron (Mtn Dew + Raspberry, Strawberry, Blackberry) 

Pink Panther (half Sprite/ half Lemonade + Strawberry Puree) 

Strawberry Lime Rickey. Which isn't on the menu, but was probably the best one I have ever had.

They will make any drink to your specifications, so don't worry if it isn't on the menu. The Fix also offers a few sugar free syrup options.

Not only does The Fix make delicious drinks, but they also make some amazing cookies! Owner Karissa bakes these super soft cookies from her family recipe that has been passed down for generations.  The Traditional Sugar Cookies and the (new) Coco Creme Cookies will have you hooked! Trust us, we were hooked at one bite.

The Fix is located inside the Chevron on Draper Parkway. You can go inside or use their convenient drive thru. You can also pre-order The Fix cookies for your next party or get together. Give them a call to place your order and ask about special designs and colors.

Another really cool thing about The Fix are their metal mugs and glass growlers. You can refill them for a small price. The growlers are perfect for parties, picnics, family dinners, baby and bridal showers, movie nights and just about any event you need to bring a tasty drink.

We took our growler, a few cookies, and a blanket outside for a little picnic play date.
There are so many ways you can use your growler. Take a specialty drink to a sick friend, bring along to your kids little league games, have a few growlers with different flavors at your next birthday party, teacher appreciation gifts, the list goes on.

Sky Bake Delivery Cakes

We recently had a chance to try out some of the yummy cupcakes from Sky Bake Deliveries.
Sky Bake Deliveries is a Utah based company that specializes in mail order cakes. They bake, package and deliver tasty cakes from Utah Valley.

Utah residents will receive their cake the day after they are shipped. And better yet, when you send something to the MTC in Provo they guarantee same day delivery if ordered before noon.

The cakes come in a few different sizes so you can choose the one that fits your needs best. Sky Bake offers seven flavors of cake and five different kinds of frosting. Of course they also offer custom cakes as well as pie.

We taste tested the Cocoa Fo Sho, Killa Vanilla, Yellow Yum Yum and Lemon Squeezy. We enjoyed them all but our very favorite was the Lemon Squeezy! If you like lemon, this is the cake for you! It is even made with real lemons, no artificial flavoring here.

The Baking Hive

We recently stopped into the new bakery The Baking Hive in East Millcreek. We had such a great time that we had to share The Baking Hive with you.

Owner Elisa went to culinary school in England but started baking as a child with her grandma. Elisa's love for baking shows in everything at The Baking Hive. Elisa is such a delight to chat with and makes you feel as if you have been friends for years.

 The Baking Hive serves whole pies, cakes and pavlova or you can buy them by the slice. Make sure to check out their monthly specials too. We also love their short-bread sugar cookies, Dirty Jonnys and my personal favorite, the Caramel Jaguar Bars! Even my toddlers gobbled them up.

One of our favorite things about The Baking Hive (besides the delicious goodies of course) is the Kids Decoration Hive where kids receive their own bakers hat and they get to frost and decorate their own cookie or cupcake.

Elisa is so great with kids and has dedicated this special spot in her shop for kids. It is so fun, your kids are sure to have a great time while you sit and enjoy a tasty treat.

The Baking Hive also offers adults and children's cooking classes. All recipes are made from scratch. And I can't forget to mention that they also host birthday parties!

Leslie's French Pastries in Holladay

Have you been to Leslie's French Pastries in Holladay? If not you need to stop in for a few treats!
Leslie's has been baking up amazing breads and desserts for over three decades.

At Leslie's you can find freshly made breads, rolls, muffins, cookies, cupcakes, cakes, pies, eclairs, cupcakes and much more!

Some of our favorites include the the eclairs, rum balls, cakes, sausage rolls, shortbread cookies and of course the Napoleons!
Napoleons are made up of layers of puff pastry that alternate between a delicious cream and topped with icing. These things are addicting!

The employees are always kind and helpful and are happy to offer suggestions.

Flash Back Friday: Daniel's Fine Chocolates

Have you been to the delicious chocolate shop in Holladay?  Daniel's Fine Chocolates sells handmade chocolates, caramels and  holiday gift ideas and decor.  But their chocolates, oh, their chocolates are wonderful.

The truffles, caramels, seafoam, divinity and nougats are all made and dipped on site.  At any given time, Daniel's Fine Chocolates offers over 40 varieties.  With new varieties debuting each season. 

Each holiday Daniels offer special chocolates, treats, decor items and gifts.

Daniels also makes ganache mousse cakes in many flavors.  Cakes must be ordered in advance, stop in and Daniel will be happy to help you make the perfect flavor selection.

We loved the sea salt caramels, the peanut crunch truffle, the caramel nut crunch and the key lime pie truffle is amazing.   Daniel's Fine Chocolates original Hedgehog is a must try as well.  But don't just take our word for it.  Stop in Daniel's and see for yourself.  You won't be disappointed.
