This Is The Place Herritage Park

This Is The Place Heritage Park is a fun year round park in Salt Lake City for adults and kids of all ages. Learn all about our Utah heritage in this living history attraction. We love that each season offers a different experience.

At This Is The Place you get to step back in time to experience our Utah heritage. Kids can see and experience how our ancestors did chores, went to school, worked in their gardens and so much more.
They will also love the clean petting zoo and horse rides.

This Is The Place Heritage Park is a favorite venue of tourists and families alike.  It also hosts numerous events and activities sponsored by civic, business, community and private organizations. You can even hold your next retreat or family reunion at the Park.

Every day during the Winter Season, including Sunday’s year round you can enjoy a variety of activities at This Is The Place. One is a ride on one of three replica trains, which includes a tour of the Village with a few hundred years of history thrown in! You’ll see the Salt Lake Valley from the vista of the Native American Village, a picturesque panoramic view of the place early explorers, settlers, and native cultures called "home."

In addition to the train tour, you can explore the Village on a self-guided walking tour. You’ll receive a map at the Visitor Center admission desk showing you each historic home or area in the Park. Each area or historic building has a marker in front with information about it and when it was constructed.

You can explore This is The Place Park all year long during any of the seasons as they are open year-round.  Check out their hours and price page as they change with each season.
